Project Publish is a suite of workshops focused on helping academic and scientific writers tackle their writing challenges at all stages of the process. Each of the workshops will be topically themed and allow you access to a live synchronous presentation, a recorded version of same, and static content such as templates as well as an online writer’s group (separate registration required).
You may register one or for all three workshops; be sure to check the correct boxes below.
June 19 | Workshop I will focus on getting started and organized. Beginnings lay the critical groundwork for successful projects, so we will discuss formulating a writing schedule, conducting effective research, constructing a literature review, and maximizing productivity. Simultaneously, we will address situating and honing your argument as you begin your writing project process.
July 10 | Workshop II will focus on reaching your audience through impactful writing and making your science appealing and compelling. Your research is exciting; therefore, we will address the readability of your work to ensure important ideas are being conveyed. And since the abstract is the first point of access to your article, it will be of particular attention in this workshop.
August 7 | Workshop III will focus on polishing your draft in anticipation of submission. The workshop environment can be especially helpful at this stage as we look at structure section by section and examine whether the organization helps or hinders how you convey your ideas. Revision of your draft with the objective of improving overall comprehension drives this final workshop.
